What are your Hours?

  • Spicewood Community Library is open the following days & times:
    • Tuesday 10:00am - 6:00pm
    • Wednesday 10:00am - 3:00pm
    • Thursday 10:00am - 3:00pm
    • Friday 10:00am - 3:00pm
    • Saturday 10:00am - 3:00pm

How do I get a library card?

  • To apply for a Spicewood Community Library card visit our ONLINE CATALOG and click the sign up button located in the top right corner. Once completed stop by the library with photo identification and verification of current mailing address. 
    • Forms of approved photo identification include:
      • Driver's license
      • State or Military ID
      • Passport
      • Resident Alien Registration card
      • or others with library staff approval
    • Forms of approved proof of current mailing address:
      • Driver's license or state ID
      • Current bill
      • Lease/rental agreement
      • Insurance card
      • Or others with library staff approval

Computers are avaliable in the library to apply for library cards as well.

What is the cost for a library card?

  • Library cards are free. However, if you are a current patron and require a replacement card, there will be a fee of $3.00

What is your checkout policy?

Checking out :

  • Up to 15 items may be checked out for a period of two weeks.
  • any combination of books, DVD's and/or STEAM kits

Puzzle Exchange :

  • Find our puzzle exchange program collection located in the Adult Non-fiction section of Spicewood Community Library.
  • All puzzles are FREE and do not need to be checked out. 
  • Keep the puzzles as long as you want (even forever!), trade out with one you've already finished, or donate one you no longer want.

Renewing Materials 

  • Items may be renewed up to 2 times; unless they have been reserved by another patron.
  • Renew in-person at Spicewood Community Library 
  • Renew by phone (830) 693-7892.
  • Renew online. Visit our ONLINE CATALOG and log in with your library card number and password to access your account.
  • Late fee - $0.25 per day per item.

Can I use my Burnet County or Marble Falls library card?

  • Yes, Spicewood Community Library is part of the Burnet County Library System.

Do I need a library card to use your computers?

  • No, just sign in at the front desk! Children under 16 may not use computers unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Do you take donations?

  • Yes. For library materials donations, please see the Support the Library tab. For thrift store donations, visit our Thrift Store page.
