Our Story & Why We Need Your Help

In 2007, the Friends of Spicewood Community Library opened a library for

Spicewood's 2,400 residents. Thanks to the generosity of the community, it grew to serve

parts of Burnet, Blanco, and Travis counties, starting with 5,000 items.

Today, Spicewood has grown to nearly 7,000 residents and is expected to reach 15,000 by 2030.

The original library, housed in a retrofitted manufactured building, is deteriorating and no

longer meets the needs of our growing community. It's time for a space that

inspires learning, connection, and exploration.
