How you can help!

There are a number of ways residents of the community can help. Please review and choose one or more ways to get involved and help us improve your library.

Make Cash Contributions and/or Join the Friends of the Spicewood Community Library

Monetary contributions and memberships are not only an attractive options since they are so easy to do, they are very desirable since the library can use the funds where most needed.

Volunteer to Work in the Library

Volunteering to work one or two shifts/month, helps the library stay open 22 hours per week. Our current roster of volunteers numbers about 30 to 35 people from all over Spicewood. The volunteers get together a couple of times per year to celebrate library accomplishments. The parties are famous! You will enjoy meeting your Spicewood neighbors.

The shifts are only 4 or 5 hours each and two volunteers work each shift. The library systems are very simple to operate and new volunteers are paired up with someone that is capable of providing the necessary training. Donate Library Content

We are always interested in great content for the library - for children, young adults and adults. Presently, our library is pretty full as is our storage. We are currently only accepting new or gently read hardback books with covers, DVD movies, and CD audio books that all work and are in the original packing. Content not used will be sold in book sales with proceeds being directed towards needed content. If not sold, the content will be donated elsewhere where it will not go to waste.
